ITOY is a photo frame first. Whatever happens to the service behind it, it shouldn't end up as a brick on your wall. Here's what we're committing to now. The full policy, with all the numbers filled in, will be here before ITOY goes on sale.

Connectivity's included

A set number of years of the ITOY service comes in the price. That's the part that carries photos between frames in different homes.

Renew if you want to

After that you can renew. If you don't, your ITOY keeps working as a photo frame you update at home.

No cloud? Still a frame.

If our service ever shut down for good, you'd still be able to put new photos on your frame yourself.

What's included

Every ITOY comes with the ITOY service included for Number of years to be confirmed. While it's active, the service:

carries a photo you send to every frame in your group, in every home;
keeps frames in step when one of them has been asleep or offline;
delivers software updates to your frame, including security fixes.

When the included period ends

We'll let you know well before it runs out Notice period to be confirmed, and you'll be able to renew Renewal price to be confirmed.

If you don't renew, your ITOY switches to local mode:

It keeps the picture it's showing. Nothing is wiped.
You can still put new photos on it from a phone or computer on the same Wi-Fi, using the frame's own page. No cloud involved.
What stops is photos travelling between homes, and updates from us over the internet.
Renew any time and it picks up where it left off, still in your group.

If the ITOY service ever closes

We don't plan on it, but you should know what would happen. Your frames would switch to local mode, the same as above, so you could keep putting new photos on them yourself without our servers.

We'd give you notice first Notice period to be confirmed.
We'd make sure you can keep your frame's software up to date without us How, to be confirmed.

Software updates

While it's connected, your ITOY updates itself over the air, including security fixes. How long we'll provide security updates to be confirmed

Warranty, repairs and batteries

Your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act

This policy adds to your rights. It doesn't replace them. When you buy an ITOY for personal use in New Zealand, you're covered by the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986. Among other things, that means your ITOY must be of acceptable quality, including lasting a reasonable time, must match its description, and repairs and spare parts must be available for a reasonable time. Nothing in our terms takes those rights away.
